Welcome to the Dream Weavers website. We hope you are encouraged as you see all that God is doing through the work of our staff and volunteers.
Our belief is that God intended us to live life in a positive and productive manner. For various reasons many of us, and many of our young people, are not living life that way. Dream Weavers exist to address that situation. While we don’t claim to have all the answers, we want to do our part to reach young people and their families with a message of hope that encourages, assists, and empowers them to become all that God intended them to be.
When Sir Ernest Shackleton set out to find a crew for what turned out to be his ill-fated voyage to
Antarctica in 1915, he placed this ad in the Times of London which read, “Men wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages. Bitter cold. Long months of complete darkness. Constant danger. Safe return doubtful. Honor and recognition in case of success. Ernest Shackleton.” Amazingly, over 5000 men applied.
Even then there were people who were looking for something bigger than themselves that was worthy of them investing their lives. Investing your life for the purposes of helping others is a noble deed. The Lord Jesus invested His life that you and I might have life and life more abundantly.
We welcome your imput, involvement, donations, and most importantly the gift of your time as we engage teenagers and help them pursue their dreams, or maybe to dream for the first time of what life could be like and then to work and learn how to make it so. To dare to dream and believe that they were created to accomplish more than they have settled for.
